DCP Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director, President, CEO and COO: Yoshio Hirako; hereinafter “DCP”) and Pacific Meta Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Shota Iwasaki; hereinafter “Pacific Meta”) have entered into a partnership to support the commercialization of tokenized deposits.

Under this partnership, the two companies will combine DCP’s tokenized deposit infrastructure, network of financial institutions, and expertise in financial practices and regulatory compliance with the Pacific Meta Group’s capabilities—ranging from business strategy to development and implementation in the blockchain sector—as well as its blockchain engineers, and its network of corporates. This will enable the two companies to establish a collaborative framework that supports the entire process, from issuance by financial institutions to utilization by businesses.

■Background of the Partnership
In recent years, efforts to realize “on-chain finance”—the transfer of value, settlements, and financial transactions conducted on the blockchain—have been gaining momentum both in Japan and abroad. Among these initiatives, tokenized deposits, along with stablecoins, are attracting attention as the foundation for new payment and financial services provided by financial institutions on the blockchain. The “FSA Strategic Priorities: July 2026 - June 2027,” published by the Financial Services Agency (FSA) on September 15, 2026, also explicitly stated the goals of the social implementation of on-chain finance and the advancement of financial infrastructure, such as funds and securities settlement.

While such policy support is in place, the widespread adoption of tokenized deposits requires not only the development of an issuance infrastructure to support them but also the creation of concrete use cases that address diverse needs—such as payments, fund transfers, commercial transactions, and integration with digital assets—as well as the expansion of their scope of application. To address these challenges, the two companies have established a collaborative framework that combines their respective expertise and networks.

■Details of the Partnership
Leveraging their respective expertise and networks, the two companies will jointly support financial institutions and corporates in commercializing tokenized deposits.
Specifically, they will provide comprehensive solutions tailored to each project’s stage—from supporting financial institutions in issuing tokenized deposits, collaborating with corporates, and planning and implementing use cases (e.g., automating inter-company payments in supply chains and building new consumer services linked to digital assets), to developing and implementing systems and blockchain infrastructure. Furthermore, they will work to disseminate information through webinars and other channels, aiming to promote understanding of tokenized deposits and on-chain finance and expand their adoption.
